tower under siege!!

While I've been waiting for some new supplies to arrive to start my 'fall collection' the musketeers have been slowly taking over my work space.  Trying to juggle two French Immersion school careers (grade 4 & sk) and a small business has made my life very interesting.

The 'keteers' came home with so much paper work to be filled out the other day that I can't keep up with it all (we're at an eco-friendly school - which means they don't like paper...so they send it all to you!).  Anyhoot, I got behind in filling out and returning some of the paper work and my girl 'keteer' was in tears because her forms were late, she was embarrassed, she was the only one.  Shame.

I shared something with the grumpy prince the other day that he thought I should share with my readers.  So, please don't judge; I have a habit of chewing gum sometimes when I work, like really chewing!!!  I'll start with a couple and then toss in a few more.  So to save time on having to go into the bag of gumballs I decided to lay some out on the desk.  This worked until the other day when I scooped up some gumballs and one of them felt a bit different.  It was cold and super slick and heavier than a gumball...and just before I bit down I thought wait a minute and sure enough one of those gumballs was an amethyst gemstone.  So now I leave them in the bag, the extra step of taking them out will save us from a massive dentist bill...lol.

can you spot the difference..?

I hope time has been treating you well, he can be such a bugger sometimes.

A Dreamy Space

I love white spaces; cool, fresh and modern. I envy the people who are able to pull it off. I imagine it must feel like you're living in white fluffy clouds; light and airy with a calming effect on your mind and soul.

Annamique de Kroon a professional feng shui consultant from Amsterdam has such a gorgeous white interior living space.  The arched ceiling and windows are so beautiful.  I can just imagine how pretty falling rain and snow would look through those windows.  Reading a book on the lounge with the sunlight playing on the walls behind you...so dreamy, so romantic!

My friends today is the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!  It really is a great time, but the musketeers are going to have me tied up quite a bit for the summer.  My eldest musketeer has perfected his rope tying techniques and I'm sure there will be little escaping on my part, lol :)

Have a worldly Wednesday.

In & Out of the Tower

Here are some photos I've been meaning to post.

Sunday's sky from the tower's terrace.

A rained out June Fair; but the musketeers still had a blast! I was sick that weekend so photos are courtesy of the grumpy prince.

Last year this was packed with parents & kids, shoulder to shoulder!

Everything was moved indoors.

my two eldest musketeers, up to no good i'm sure, lol!!!

While my girl musketeer was at the fair this is what her barbies were up to (no kidding this is how I found them, is it just me or is barbie smiling for the camera).  Don't be alarmed my daughter went through an oral fixation stage and was chewing everything in site, including poor barbies and belle's hands and feet.

Hope Tuesday is being kind to you!
